SPIE welcomes 278 trainees for the new training year
At SPIE, 278 trainee places for 31 skilled professions were filled for the start of the new training year in Germany alone. The number of new trainees thus showed a significant increase of 56% on the previous year. The goal: to provide qualified, solid and versatile professional training for the skilled workforce of the future.
SPIE demonstrates its development in Germany and Central Europe at Expo Real 2018
Exhibiting at Expo Real, in Munich, from October 8th to 10th, demonstrates the successful trajectory of the company, as well as its broad technical expertise. At Expo Real 2018, SPIE will present services for the future including e-mobility and digital solutions, as well as offers for office and logistics real estate, data centres and locations for industry. The multi-technical services provider wishes to work closer with customers to design smart solutions for a digital and successful future.
Innovative ‘compactLine’ aerial line technology becomes a reality
After three years working with the European transmission system operator 50Hertz and other partners on its development, SPIE has completed the ‘compactLine’ pilot line: an innovative aerial line technology for 400 kV lines. The pilot line went live at the end of August, marking the start of a monitoring programme which will collect information about its operation for at least the next year.
SPIE obtains once again a successful matrix certification of its management system for new companies – Eye-to-eye integration in practice
In accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (quality management system), DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management system), OHSAS 18001:2007 (occupational health and safety management system) and DIN EN 50001:2011 (energy management system), the independent certification body TÜV NORD CERT has just confirmed the successful integration of the companies acquired in 2017. With the acquisitions of SAG, Lück and PMS in 2017, SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa has become a solid pillar of the SPIE Group and generates almost a third of the overall turnover with over 14,500 employees.
BMW and SPIE extend agreement on the Innovation Park Wackersdorf
BMW continues to entrust SPIE with the facility management of the Innovation Park Wackersdorf. SPIE has been the technical service provider on the site since 2001 and has won the tender for the fourth time in a row. The current contract took effect on 1st July 2018 and runs for three years with an option to extend by two more years.
